Project: Rotaing black holes
S. Brandt, E. Seidel
Under Construction
Abstract
New initial data sets corresponding to rotating black holes
distorted by a gravitational wave, or an end-state (after the horizons
have merged) cosmic screw
(collision of black holes with equal mass and opposite angular momentum
on axis) have been created.
Progress Report
These data sets have been been evolved using a Fortran 77
code that runs on a variety of machines. The code can measure
various properties of the apparent horizon, has been equipped
for use with event horizon surface method,
and can extract the l=2,3,4,5 radiation modes.
